Artists will be demonstrating at the gallery from 1 - 4pm each day the exhibition is open. Dates are 10th 11th 17th and 18th January 12 - 5pm. During the day artists work in the courtyard in ceramics, sculpture and painting. At 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm there were tours of Herring Island and the permanent collection run by Friends of Herring Island. Intending participants met in front of the gallery before the tour. We had perfect weather - breaking our reputation as rain makers - and lots of visitors enjoyed the day and the art. Demonstration events will occur during the show, and the exhibition will be “sat” by the exhibiting artists – so this will be a great time to see their latest work and talk to them about their inspiration. Enjoy this select exhibition of work created by ceramic artists from all over Victoria. Artists will be at the gallery each weekend during the exhibition. Why not take advantage of this opportunity and visit the island gallery on weekends from 14 February through 1 March? Access to the island is between 12 and 4.30. A percentage of each sale will be donated back to HISAF to ensure the preservation of this Festival and the permanent collection on the island.
